Hand-in-hand with the Academic Formation, the second pillar of the PAREF system is the Character Formation Program which aims to instill in its students the goal of striving to acquire a life virtue in order to be able to love God and serve other people better. In other words, apart from being academically proficient, a PAREF Northfield student is expected to develop his character. That is, the totality of his patterns of thinking, feeling and behaving that are largely formed by deliberate and repeated choices. This section briefly describes the general goals of the Character Formation Program first, then describes the specific activities that can help its students to acquire a strong character.
The core values of HOPE were formulated to make it easier to remember. But of course, each of the core values has related virtues or good habits and are discussed in mentoring chats and taken up in the student's School Diary.
OBJECTIVES OF THE CHARACTER FORMATION PROGRAM
