BRING OUT THE BEST IN YOUR SON’S CHARACTER AND COMPETENCE.
Your son and family deserve a school that you can call home.
Have you ever worried about raising your son to be both smart and kind in today’s morally-challenging world? Do you want to understand your son more deeply so you can guide him and your family better? Do you long for a school where everyone knows each other and treats everyone as a family?
We’re here to help.
For more than two decades already, PAREF Northfield has been helping parents develop the virtues, talent, and skills of their sons to prepare them for success in college and beyond. Parents are personally guided in performing their most important role as the primary educators of their children through the following:
● One-on-one mentoring for students and their parents
● Small class sizes for personalized attention and learning
We are inspired by the life and teachings of Saint Josemaria Escriva, founder of Opus Dei, who, in his lifetime, personally encouraged Filipino parents to establish a parent-student-teacher education system in the Philippines.
St. Escriva also espoused our unique educational philosophy: “Parents first, teachers second, students last.” We have adapted that philosophy based on the belief that the students can be formed very well if both the parents and teachers are well-formed.

“PARENTS FIRST…”
Northfield parents are relied upon to be the primary educators of their children. We recognize the challenges that today’s parents face, and we have programs to assist them in their desire to be better parents despite these challenges.
Currently, the programs are one-on-one mentoring, peer coaching, continuing courses on effective parenting based on age group like the NPEP and Middle Childhood Course, monthly talks, father and son activities, get-togethers, Family Day, and conferences on relevant issues such as mental health and social media. The school chaplain is also available for spiritual direction.

“TEACHERS SECOND…”
PAREF Northfield’s teachers are experienced specialists in their fields. They are deeply committed to mold their students’ wisdom and virtue, expand their horizons; and, consistently motivate them toward a higher level of academic and personal achievement. More than subject matter experts, our teachers are also personal formators of students’ character.
All faculty members go through a continuing professional development and personal formation program, which includes staff mentoring, regular development sessions, and workshops on classroom management.

“STUDENTS LAST…”
With the right formation of parents and teachers, students develop as distinct and free individuals with competitive knowledge, relevant skills, and a principled character.
Consistent with DepEd’s standards, Northfield’s curriculum sets itself apart by giving a humanistic and holistic pattern of education. In high school, students are rigorously prepared in the humanities and sciences, classical literature, philosophy, ethics, and Christian doctrine.
